We are passionate about making the leisure vehicle industry practical and enjoyable for everyone, and the NEC shares our enthusiasm. The NEC is committed to being accessible to all, and that’s why the NEC disability access is of such a high standard. All levels of the NEC are accessible to wheelchair users; including the Piazza and Atrium, where the main entrances have automatic doors.
Wheelchairs
Wheelchairs are supplied by The NEC at a cost of £5 for all other visitors. The number of wheelchairs is limited, so if you have your own, please bring it with you.
Assistance Dogs
Assistance dogs are always welcome at our shows and at the NEC. We do request that owners bring with them their valid assistance dog licence.
Scooters
Scooters are supplied by the NEC at a cost of £20 per day for all visitors. We strongly advise visitors to pre-book equipment to avoid disappointment. The NEC operate are currently taking books by email at InfoEmailAccount@necgroup.co.uk. All pre-bookings will be held until 11.00hrs on the day booked for, unless otherwise advised. For any visitors who have not pre-booked equipment and arrive on the day, any remaining stock will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis. As collection location varies from show to show, please check the collection point when making a booking.
Please note: Mobility equipment hire is only available during show open times and can only be paid for using card not cash.
Carers
A carer accompanying a Registered Disabled visitor is free of charge with a paying ticket holder - please select the carer ticket when you book your paid for tickets.
Disabled Facilities
Accessible wheelchair friendly toilets are available across the venue; you can access these in halls 9, 10, 11, 12 and 20.
A Changing Places toilet is also available in the Hall 20 Atrium area. It provides space for up to 2 carers – and extra features to meet additional needs, including height adjustable adult-sized changing benches and a hoist system.
Disabled Parking
Disabled Parking is available but cannot be pre-booked. Please note, you should bring your Blue Badge with you, even if you are arriving by taxi.
If you are arriving by taxi and have your Blue Badge with you, you will be able to be dropped off at the main entrances. If you also require a pick up, please advise the taxi firm that you have a Blue Badge and the taxi will be permitted to collect you from the main entrances.
Please be aware that the NEC is a private site. To protect the available disabled parking spaces for those who are entitled to it, The NEC reserve the right to inspect Blue Badges to ensure that they are being used by those entitled to do so.
